Forever Evil

[edit]

I was wondering if I could get some other user's opinions. What are everyone's thought on what to do with Forever Evil? I was planning on trying to keep it on this page, (and am in the process of getting a teaser plot up on the page), but wanted to know if it should be made into its own page? Just considering, if we will attempt to add a plot for the Villains Month titles, then the four main book, and the tie-ins as well, that may be pretty large. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:41, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think we should keep it all in this page, as much as possible. Much like other line-wide crossovers (Infinite Crisis, Final Crisis) generally were kept in one article, aside for the lead-up stuff like 52/Countdown) Villains Month might be a bit different because of the various vilain titles; those can probably be summarized in a sentence or two each, ("In Bizarro #1, the creation of Bizarro is told, a clone of Superman by Lex Luthor, etc") and if the villain has an article the plot could be expanded there. I'd think there should only be a real plot explanation if it's relevant to Forever Evil - which is the core of the event - and repercussions to the DCU. If the article becomes too large when we're deeper into the event, it might be more worth splitting off. I kind of had an internal debate after this article was created, about whether it should be titled "Forever Evil" or Villains Month - but it didn't really matter much at that point. Might be different now. || Tako (bother me) || 18:12, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. I agree with what you are saying - I had similar thought and feeling. And I do agree with you on your thoughts on the title of the article. Maybe that should be another discussion. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 20:20, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Dude, would you mind much if I went over the synopsis of the storylines and condensed them? I mean, they're real thorough and indepth at the moment, which is good and all, but it's kinda looking like big walls of text. Are you happy with me to tighten them down a bit to a bit more of a bare-bones synopsis? I don't want to step on your toes or anything, so I wanted to ask first. Justin.Parallax (talk) 17:47, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Go for it! I was going to make that a task once everything was done, but now is perfectly fine. If you'd like too, Trinity War needs condensing as well. Thanks! - Favre1fan93 (talk) 19:06, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Villains Month reviews

[edit]

Going to add the individual reviews for the books that I can find from IGN, Newsarama and CBR here. At the end of the month, a general reception for the event should be written, and highlight stand out issues, good and bad. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 02:11, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hit or miss with the Newsarama reviews. Usually in an article titled "Best Shots".

What does the indicia for the titles call the books?

[edit]

Any body know what the indicia for the titles calls the books? (The indicia is usually on the last page or backcover where they have a column of sorts.) Is it just, for example, "Detective Comics #23.1" - or "Detective Comics #23.1 - Poison Ivy #1"? or is it like on Comixology, "Detective Comics (2011-) #23.1: Featuring Poison Ivy" || Tako (bother me) || 13:16, 20 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Scarecrow's states "DETECTIVE COMICS (ISBN ###..) 23.3" Hope that helps. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 15:18, 20 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That's...kinda lame. I'd have thought they'd dual title & number it. || Tako (bother me) || 18:16, 20 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
